Full-time We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Engineer to join Yokogawa team and drive sales for our industrial process automation. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to support existing customers and develop new business in various industries including E&S, Chemical and Life.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Development
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, EPCs, and
consultants.
- Conduct regular client engagements, reviews, and technical discussions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer challenges and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Ensure continuous customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
- Sales Opportunity Creation & Pipeline Management
- Identify new business opportunities within Oil & Gas, Power, Cement, Chemical, Pharma, and other Manufacturing sectors.
- Develop a structured pipeline of leads through market research, networking, and on-ground interactions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Customer Propositions
- Present and sell value-driven propositions for Yokogawa CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, and related automation solutions.
- Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and solution narratives focused on ROI, safety, and performance benefits.
- Support negotiation of terms, pricing, and scope to ensure win–win outcomes.
- Customer Focus Across the Organisation
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to align engineering, execution, and support teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure commitments are met in delivery timelines and quality.
- Escalate critical customer issues effectively to ensure timely resolution.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM Excellence)
- Maintain accurate and updated interactions, opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM system.
- Develop customer account plans with strategic actions and revenue objectives.
- Conduct post-sales follow-ups to reinforce trust and identify future project potential.
- Policy
- Ensure compliance with company policies, approval matrices, and commercial guidelines.
- Implement risk management practices in bids and proposals.
- Support internal audits, documentation reviews, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of experience in technical automation sales with deep understanding of industrial automation technologies like DCS, SIS, PLC’s, SCADA systems, digitalization and communication protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).

- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Process knowledge of chemical, oil& gas, power, paper, cement, sugar, paints, etc.
- Knowledge on Yokogawa CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS is added advantage.
