System Engineer

As a network design and support specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing and supporting data networks for various facilities and environments. Your responsibilities will include participating in requirements gathering, managing resource capacity plans, providing input to system capacity plans, and developing and maintaining procedures and system documentation. You will also be involved in system resource optimization activities, major updates, resource management, and monitoring methods and tools. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in requirements gathering and solution design - Manage resource capacity plans and provide input to system capacity plans - Participate in installation and configuration activities - Develop and maintain procedures and system documentation - Perform systems resource optimization activities - Participate in major updates and support new requirements - Monitor and administer system access and resources - Support resolution of production incidents - Provide work breakdown planning and estimation - Identify feature and module dependencies and propose mitigation plans - Suggest process improvements and best practices - Actively share technical knowledge within the domain with the team and others - Mentor co-workers within the area of expertise - Participate in staff recruiting Qualifications Required: - Self-directing with the ability to justify decisions and achieve peer consent - Experience working on network design and support projects - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work effectively with team members, other IT teams, business users, and managers - Familiarity with system management and security compliance activities - Knowledge of system optimization and resource management methods - Experience in mentoring and improving team productivity Overall, your role will involve working on various phases of projects, identifying risks and problems, suggesting process improvements, and interacting with different stakeholders to ensure the successful design and support of data networks.
