Support - PPC - SteelThe PPC Officer - Stainless Plant is a critical role responsible for overseeing the production planning and control processes within a steel manufacturing environment. This position requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization. The Officer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations. The role demands a strong understanding of stainless steel fabrication processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The PPC Officer will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting quality and compliance initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for process optimization and continuous improvement.Principal Accountabilities
Prepare daily weekly and monthly production plans based on sales orders and forecastsbr Develop detailed machinewise and processwise schedules slitting forming welding annealing pickling finishing etcbr Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address delays or breakdownsbr Track actual production vs planned output and analyze variancesbr Ensure optimal utilization of manpower machines and materialsbr Coordinate with maintenance to plan preventive maintenance and reduce downtimebr Coordinate with procurement for raw material planning consumables packing materialsbr Monitor WIP raw material and finished goods inventory levelsbr Avoid shortages excess inventory and material mismatchesbr Liaise with SalesDispatch to ensure ontime delivery of stainless steel pipesbr Work closely with Quality to ensure compliance with specifications and standardsbr Coordinate with stores for material issue and receipt accuracybr Prepare PPC reports production status capacity utilization rejection rates and dispatch readinessbr Maintain accurate production records BOMs and routing databr Support audits and continuous improvement initiativesKey Interactions
