Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing the procurement, store & inventory, logistics & distribution, costing support, compliance & quality, technology & systems, MIS & reporting, team development, and project planning & execution functions within the supply chain department. Your role will involve ensuring cost-effective procurement, efficient store operations, timely logistics management, accurate costing support, compliance with quality standards, utilization of technology systems, effective team development, and successful project planning and execution. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement Management: - Ensure timely procurement of good-quality materials at best possible prices, using minimum resources. - Build and maintain vendor relationships for reliability and cost efficiency. - Evaluate supplier performance and take corrective actions as necessary. - Manage relationships with international procurement strategic partners. - Handle logistic arrangements, import clearances, and legal compliance related to international procurement. - Store & Inventory Management: - Ensure efficient, safe, and user-friendly store operations with minimal waste, theft, or loss of material. - Maintain optimal inventory levels aligned with production schedules. - Conduct regular cycle counting and audits for accurate inventory records. - Logistics & Distribution: - Manage inward and outward logistics for cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. - Optimize transportation costs and improve coordination with vendors and customers. - Costing Support: - Provide accurate data for costing by forecasting procurement timelines and giving reasonable estimates. - Collaborate with Finance and Production for effective budgeting and planning. - Compliance & Quality: - Implement ISO & QMS standards at the department level. - Establish SOPs and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in supply chain activities. - Technology & Systems: - Utilize ERP systems for real-time data visibility and operational efficiency. - Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives within the department. - MIS & Reporting: - Maintain accurate MIS for all supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor performance. - Team Development: - Mentor, train, and develop supply chain team members for current and future operational needs. - Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. - Project Planning & Execution: - Participate in project planning to ensure timely execution of customer orders. - Align supply chain capabilities with project timelines and customer expectations. Qualification Required: - B.Tech/BE in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation. - 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and cost control. - Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory and warehouse management, logistics planning, budgeting, ISO & QMS standards, and leadership skills. - Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills.
