This role requires strong hands-on expertise in building supplier master data solutions along with a solid understanding of MDM architecture. The Lead will guide developers, work closely with architects, and ensure supplier data is accurate, consistent, and integrated across systems.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Supplier MDM solutions with focus on supplier data quality, governance, and integration.
- Work closely with the Architect to translate high-level designs into detailed technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on development in MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio) including match/merge, survivorship, and enrichment rules.
- Develop and Support user interfaces within MDM tools to improve usability for business and data stewardship teams.
- Develop and Support data governance standards, survivorship rules, and stewardship processes to keep supplier data reliable.
- Create and manage data profiling, data quality rules, matching, merging, and de-duplication processes to ensure a single, reliable source of supplier information.
- Review code, provide technical guidance to developers, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Contribute to solution design discussions, ensuring performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and align technical solutions.
- Monitor solution performance and recommend improvements across integration, UI, and data quality.
- Maintain documentation on solution design, data flows, rules, and UI specifications.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in Master Data Management, with strong exposure to supplier/vendor data.
- Hands-on experience required with one or more MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio, or equivalent.)
- Strong skills in SQL, ETL, APIs, and data integration.
- Experience with UI configuration/customization in MDM tools for supplier data stewardship.
- Good understanding of data governance, master data modeling, and data quality frameworks.
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and ability to support architectural discussions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
