Job Description

Role Overview: As a Nursing Supervisor at our hospital, your primary responsibility is to provide nursing services in alignment with the hospital's protocols and core values. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the patient care team to ensure seamless services. Your key result areas include developing, modifying, and implementing protocols for department activities and providing nursing care committed to excellence with a focus on patient safety. Key Responsibilities: - Establish orientation programs for newly recruited nurses - Plan regular teaching programs for nursing staff - Oversee day-to-day nursing operations - Manage staffing and conduct performance appraisals - Address suggestions or complaints from patients and staff - Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the ward - Interact with doctors and housekeeping personnel - Raise incident reports for patient care and safety issues - Supervise staff to ensure the best care and service to patients - Manage services according to hospital policies - Ensure compliance with standards - Audit various aspects such as crash trolley checks, wheelchair, and stretcher functionality - Participate in ward rounds, interdepartmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences - Report incidents related to patient care to the Medical Director - Communicate related events to HODs - Provide feedback to nurses - Address administrative problems to the Manager Operations - Handle staff requirements with HR - Report incidents to the Quality department Qualifications Required: - Degree or diploma in nursing - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a super specialty or multi-specialty hospital - Preferably at a supervisory level - Good knowledge of nursing fundamentals, urology, nephrology patient care, Nursing Council Rules - Proficient in MS Office and Hospital Information system software - Strong communication skills - Ability to motivate and evaluate staff - Commitment to patient service Additional Details: Your role as a Nursing Supervisor will require you to demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
