Job Description

Role : Subject Matter Expert (Payroll APAC Region)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert Payroll (APAC) with strong hands-on expertise in Singapore & Philippines payroll operations . This role supports payroll delivery excellence and process improvement while ensuring compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.

What You Will Do

Manage and support the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for SG & PH including validations, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and disbursements.
Ensure payroll is executed as per local country laws, internal controls, and audit standards .
Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, exceptions, and employee queries.
Partner with HR Operations, Business HR, Finance & Compliance to resolve issues and ensure accurate delivery.
Contribute to customer success by meeting SLAs and quality benchmarks.
Provide SME support for audits, compliance reviews, and documentation .
Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives .
Maintain high-quality documentation (DTPs, process notes, checklists).
Support team knowledge-sharing and capability-building.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related disciplines.
5-8+ years of payroll experience , with deep expertise in SG and/or PH payroll.
Strong understanding of statutory compliance, payroll operations & regulations .

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience in shared services or multi-country payroll environments .
Strong knowledge of SG & PH labor laws and statutory contributions.
Hands-on experience with ADP, Workday, SAP, Paymaster , or similar platforms.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex, high-volume cycles.
Experience driving process optimization and audit readiness .
Strong analytical & reconciliation skills.
