Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead strategy and growth initiatives for our omni-channel pet care retail business. The incumbent will be responsible for managing P&L and operations of existing company-owned outlets, driving retail expansion, scaling own-brand sales, and spearheading franchise growth. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to deliver sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • P&L and Operations Management

  • Own and optimize the P&L of company-owned outlets.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and customer experience standards.
  • Retail Growth

  • Drive topline and bottom-line performance across retail channels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve same-store sales and productivity.
  • Own Brand Development

  • Expand sales of in-house and private-label brands across retail formats.
  • Work with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to maximize brand visibility and penetration.
  • Franchise Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate new markets for franchise development.
  • Lead the acquisition, onboarding, and performance monitoring of franchise partners.
  • Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • Formulate medium- and long-term growth strategies, including new retail formats, category expansions, and regional market entry.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking, market mapping, and feasibility studies to support expansion decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, digital, finance, and supply chain teams to align execution with growth objectives.
  • Build scalable frameworks to ensure synergy between retail, franchise, and own-brand initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM from a reputed business school (preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in retail, consumer goods, or omni-channel businesses with proven exposure to strategy and P&L management.
  • Strong track record in scaling retail operations and implementing growth strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in franchise development and category expansion will be an advantage.
