Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Stores Head for our Bareilly location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of stores, including inventory control, procurement, and logistics of newsprint and other materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of newsprint and other materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.

- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of newsprint and other materials.

- Oversee logistics and distribution of newspapers, ensuring timely delivery to clients and readers.

- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure best value.

- Conduct regular stock audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining high levels of efficiency and productivity.

- Lead and motivate the stores team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

- 3-5 years of experience in stores management, procurement, or logistics in the newspaper industry.

- Proven exposure to managing newsprint and other materials.

- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

- Good written and verbal communication in English, Hindi, and local language.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and inventory management software.

- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
