Job Title: Store Incharge – Site Operations (with Admin Support)
Location: Project Site (Maharashtra / PAN India)
Department: Stores and Site Administration
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Store Incharge is responsible for the overall management of site-level inventory and administrative activities. This includes handling material storage and issuance, managing the labour mess and accommodation, and maintaining daily attendance of workers and staff. The role ensures smooth support for on-site operations and coordination with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Store and Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and record materials as per purchase orders
  • Maintain physical and computerized stock registers
  • Issue materials based on approved requisitions
  • Conduct regular stock verification and submit reports

Mess Management

  • Maintain daily records of food consumption and headcount
  • Coordinate with mess contractor or cook for food supply and hygiene
  • Monitor the quality of food and control costs
  • Keep logbooks for daily mess expenses

Labour and Staff Accommodation

  • Allocate rooms and monitor labour/staff accommodation
  • Ensure cleanliness and availability of basic facilities
  • Handle maintenance and shifting of rooms when required
  • Maintain records of room allotments and occupancy

Daily Attendance Maintenance

  • Record daily attendance of all staff, labourers, and contractors
  • Coordinate with HR and Accounts teams for timesheet and payroll
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports
  • Maintain manual or digital attendance logs

Reporting and Coordination

  • Submit daily MIS reports to the Project Manager
  • Liaise with procurement, HR, accounts, and admin teams
  • Coordinate logistical support for visitors, material arrivals, or audits

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Graduate or Diploma (Technical or Non-Technical)
  • Preferred Certification in Store Management or Office Administration
  • Experience: 3 to 8 years in store and admin work in road or infrastructure projects
  • Computer Skills: MS Excel, Word, basic ERP or inventory software
  • Good communication and record-keeping ability
  • Strong coordination and multitasking skills

Performance Indicators:

  • Timely and accurate inventory records
  • Clean and efficient mess and accommodation setup
  • Accurate and timely attendance reporting
  • Minimal wastage and effective material management.
