Job Description

he Store In-Charge is responsible for the effective management of all materials, consumables, finished goods, and inventory related to the printing and packaging operations. This role ensures proper receipt, storage, issue, and record-keeping of raw materials such as paper, inks, films, plates, and packing materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing wastage.

Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory Management:

  • Manage and control inventory of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock records through ERP/manual systems and ensure real-time stock updates.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical and system inventory.
  • Monitor material usage and coordinate with the production team to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

2. Material Handling & Storage:

  • Oversee the receipt, unloading, inspection, and proper storage of incoming materials.
  • Ensure all materials are stored safely and systematically as per their specifications (e.g., inks, films, adhesives).
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO systems to prevent material expiry and maintain quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Department for incoming material inspection and approval.

3. Documentation & Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), Issue Slips, Material Requisition Notes, and Return Notes accurately.
  • Ensure timely data entry of receipts, issues, and adjustments in ERP or inventory software.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and reports.

4. Coordination & Communication:

  • Liaise with the Purchase Department for material requirements and reorder levels.
  • Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Accounts for smooth material flow and billing processes.
  • Work closely with vendors, transporters, and warehouse teams for timely material delivery.

5. Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals, inks, and adhesives following safety protocols.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and compliance with ISO, GMP, or other quality management systems.
  • Report material damage, wastage, or discrepancies promptly and take corrective action.

6. Reporting:

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
  • Analyze consumption trends, wastage, and material variance.
  • Provide inputs to management on material planning and cost control.

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

  • Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Industrial Management.
  • Diploma or Certification in Materials Management (preferred).

Experience:

  • 3–8 years of experience in store/inventory management within the printing and packaging

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
