Store and Dispatch Head - FMCG Spices Segment

Job Summary
The Store and Dispatch Head oversees warehouse operations, inventory management, and dispatch processes for a spices manufacturing unit in the FMCG sector. This role ensures efficient storage of perishable spices under optimal conditions, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with food safety standards like FSSAI. The position reports to the Operations Manager and manages a team of 10-15 warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including goods receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch to maintain stock accuracy and minimize wastage.​
• Conduct regular inventory audits, implement FIFO systems, and monitor stock levels for spices to prevent spoilage due to humidity or temperature variations.​
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams for seamless order picking, packing, and shipment tracking.​
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality protocols, including proper labeling, pest control, and ERP system usage for real-time transactions.​
• Lead team training, performance reviews, and process improvements to achieve dispatch targets and reduce turnaround time.​

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum 8-10 years in FMCG warehouse management, with 5+ years in spices or food processing.​
• Proficiency in ERP/HRMS systems, inventory software, and MS Excel for reporting; knowledge of Maharashtra labor laws and FSSAI compliance essential.​

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in spices storage (temperature/hygiene control) and dispatch optimization.​
• Excellent communication for stakeholder coordination and vendor management.​
