Job Title: Head of Innovation Lab / Head - XR Location: Pune Department: Innovation Lab Experience Level: 12+ Years Reports To: CEO Role We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Innovation Lab to lead next-generation initiatives at the intersection of design, immersive technology, and intelligent systems. This role demands a dynamic leader with a strong background in UX, 3D design, XR development , and AI-driven solutions —particularly in areas like computer vision, spatial computing, and real-time interaction . As the Head of our Innovation Lab, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, driving high-impact prototypes, experiences, and products. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategy, customer collaboration, emerging tech exploration, and cross-functional delivery. Key Responsibilities · Lead and Define Innovation Strategy : Set the vision and roadmap for future-facing experiences blending immersive tech and intelligent design. · UX, 3D & XR Experience Leadership : Oversee concept development, experience design, and production of 3D interfaces and XR applications (AR/VR/MR). · AI & Computer Vision Integration : Identify opportunities to embed computer vision and AI models into XR and digital experiences for smart, adaptive user interactions. · Customer Communication & Discovery : Partner directly with clients and business units to gather requirements, run discovery workshops, and translate insights into actionable prototypes. · Prototype to Pilot Execution : Guide multidisciplinary teams through rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and deployment of innovative digital solutions. · Technology Scouting & Trend Analysis : Stay abreast of breakthroughs in AI, XR, and spatial computing to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge and future-proof. · Team Leadership & Mentorship : Build and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team of designers, developers, and innovation strategists. · Cross-functional Collaboration : Align innovation efforts with product, engineering, marketing, and executive teams to scale prototypes into real-world impact. Qualifications · 12+ years of professional experience across UX, 3D design, immersive tech, and digital product innovation. · Hands-on experience with XR development tools (Unity, Unreal, WebXR) and 3D design platforms (Blender, Maya, etc.). · Demonstrated experience integrating AI technologies , particularly in computer vision, real-time tracking, gesture recognition, or spatial analysis . · Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience leading full design & dev lifecycles. · Ability to identify and translate customer needs into high-impact digital solutions. · Experience in customer-facing roles with exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills. · Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a strong plus. · Bachelor's or master's degree in design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, AI, or a related field. Preferred Skills · Experience with multimodal interfaces combining voice, gesture, and visual input. · Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, XR delivery pipelines, and edge computing. · Experience applying innovation methodologies such as Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean Startup.
