Position Title: Sr. Spec. DDIT Dev. Sol.Del. GCO

Location – Hyd-India# LI Hybrid

Role Purpose

This position is part of a DDIT Global clinical operations focused on managing the clinical technology platform at Novartis. The Senior Specialist, Solution Delivery within Global Clinical Operations (GCO) IT will primarily support Site and Study Operations (SSO), driving technology initiatives that enable operational excellence in clinical studies.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Lead and support the delivery of IT projects and business system enhancements within Site and Study Operations (SSO).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and DDIT Strategic Business Partners to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and execute delivery. Ensure successful implementation and stable operation of systems and applications, maintaining integrity, compliance, and high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with business SMEs to gather requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance efficiency and add measurable business value. Co-lead and support RFI/RFP processes for technology selection in partnership with Procurement.
• Act as advisor, providing guidance to optimize global business processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. Execute the technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms, and processes within a defined business domain or function.
• Maintain end-to-end accountability for technology product delivery across business areas. Partner with business product owners to define the technology roadmap, ensuring technology investments align with strategic goals and generate business value.
• Collaborate with Business Product Directors on demand analysis, solution evaluation, and funding estimates for both operations and projects. Ensure alignment and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing/validation activities (OQ, PQ, UAT, etc.).
• Develop project rationales and conduct feasibility and scoping assessments to determine project viability. Identify functional gaps and review requirements with key stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Create detailed requirement specifications to accurately estimate cost, effort, and resource needs for solution delivery. Work closely with service development teams to define high-level functional solutions.
• Involve relevant stakeholders in defining specifications for new services or major upgrades to existing ones. Ensure that user experience considerations are embedded throughout solution design and deployment.
• Validate that implemented solutions meet specifications and are fit for business purpose. Stay current with internal IT systems, documentation standards, quality and security requirements, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
• Take ownership for compliance with Security and Governance policies within the Service Delivery scope. Partner with business stakeholders to ensure technology services and solutions are aligned with strategic objectives and designed for reuse across domains.
• Ensure platforms, products, and solutions are fit for purpose and deliver expected business outcomes. Support governance activities for projects, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and adherence to Security and Compliance policies.
• Monitor, report, and deliver on agreed success metrics and KPIs, ensuring user experience and business impact remain central to design, delivery, and operations

Desirable Requirements:

• University Degree and/or relevant experience and professional qualifications
• 6+ years of overall experience in IT, web solutions, or digital platform delivery, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical domains.
• Good understanding track record delivering technology products (e.g. working in Veeva Vault) and working experience & knowledge of Clinical business process (including GxP) within Pharma industry
• IT Technical Strategy and Planning, Emerging Technology Monitoring, Vendor Management, good understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Good to have : Working experience & knowledge of Clinical business process areas and Integration with CTMS (Veeva), and solutions that support Site and Study operations within Clinical Operations. Experience in adoption and development of Agile methodologies
