Presales Consultant for e-governance (e-Gov)
Role and Responsibilities: -
- Understanding Requirements: Analyze client requirements from Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and other government documents to identify potential solutions.
- Solution Develop and propose customized IT solutions based on client needs, leveraging in-house products and third-party solutions.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare compelling and technically sound proposals for government tenders, including technical specifications, project timelines, and cost estimates.
- Bid Management: Manage the entire bid process, including coordinating with internal teams (sales, technical, legal, etc.) and external stakeholders (partners, OEMs).
- Technical Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to government clients, showcasing the proposed solutions and their benefits.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders to understand their needs and identify potential opportunities.
- Knowledge Management: Stay updated on the latest e-governance trends, technologies, and government policies to provide expert advice to clients and internal teams.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team throughout the pre-sales process.
- Solutioning: Contribute to the development of innovative IT solutions for government projects, working closely with technical teams.
- Effort Estimation: Provide accurate estimates for software development and implementation efforts.
- Documentation: Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including proposals, presentations, and project plans.
- Compliance: Ensure that proposals and solutions comply with government regulations and requirements.
Experience Required:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of e-governance technologies, including software solutions, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- E-governance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, bidding procedures, and relevant policies and regulations.
- Presales Experience: Proven experience in presales, bid management, or solution consulting roles, particularly in the public sector.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proposal Writing: Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals that meet government requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills and experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze client needs, identify technical challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in e-governance technologies, project management, or IT infrastructure.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Experience with specific e-governance platforms or solutions.
- 5+ Yrs. Relevant experience in presales.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity is best practice.
- Experience working with government agencies or public sector clients.
- Experience with specific e-governance technologies like digital signatures, online portals, or citizen services.
