Sr Manager - Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

• Supervising pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
• Scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
• Providing training and development opportunities for staff.

Inventory Management:

• Ensuring the pharmacy maintains an adequate inventory of medications and supplies.
• Managing stock levels, ordering medications, and overseeing the storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Implementing strategies to reduce waste and control costs.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensuring the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to medication dispensing, safety protocols, and record-keeping.
• Overseeing safety and cleanliness protocols within the pharmacy environment.
• Maintaining proper documentation for audits and inspections.

Customer Service:

• Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction.
• Ensuring that prescriptions are filled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.

Financial Management:

• Monitoring the financial performance of the pharmacy.
• Ensuring that costs are controlled and revenue goals are met.
• Preparing reports related to sales, inventory, and performance metrics.

Quality Control:

• Overseeing the quality assurance process to ensure medications are dispensed accurately.
• Conducting regular checks for potential issues like medication errors or expired stock.

Technology Management:

• Managing the pharmacy's software systems, including prescription processing and inventory management systems.
• Ensuring that the pharmacy utilizes technology to streamline operations and improve accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Degree

  : Typically, a pharmacist license (in some regions, an OP Manager may be a licensed pharmacist).

• Management Experience

  : Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is essential.

• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Regulations

  : A thorough understanding of pharmaceutical laws, policies, and ethics.

• Strong Communication Skills

  : The ability to communicate effectively with both staff and customers.
