Company Overview


IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITK DF) is a Section 8, not-for-profit company established by IIT Kanpur to engage with external stakeholders, including Alumni, corporations, Foundations, and Philanthropists in India and across the globe. The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to support the Institute’s long-term growth. Such development offices are a key feature in globally reputed universities and typically maintain a staffing ratio of 1 for every 1,000 alumni.

Position: Senior Manager – IT & Automation

Location:

The Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure & Automation will drive the organisation’s digital transformation journey by leading automation initiatives, managing robust IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless system operations. A key responsibility will be managing automations in ZOHO One and creating and implementing IT policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, security, and compliance across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Strategy, Governance & Infrastructure

• Develop and execute the IT roadmap, policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks, ensuring security, compliance, and consistency in alignment with organisational goals.

2. CRM Automation and Optimisation

• Lead end-to-end management and optimisation of Zoho One, including customisation, workflow automation, and seamless integration with internal and third-party systems. Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline operations and reduce manual efforts across functions.

• Drive adoption and effective use of the platform by providing training, support, and clear documentation to teams, while continuously optimising cross-functional workflows to enhance efficiency and organisational agility.

3. Process Automation & Optimisation

• Identify and implement automation opportunities using Zoho and other tools to streamline operations. • Optimise cross-functional workflows to enhance agility and reduce manual tasks.

5. Operations, Hardware & Software Management

• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and cost-effective delivery of IT hardware and software. • Ensure optimal performance of IT assets and serve as the escalation point for technical issues.

6. Operational Efficiency

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the IT function, including team management, performance development, stakeholder communication, and oversight of the Foundation’s digital platforms and infrastructure.


Desired Profile

•Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related

discipline.

•Experience: 8–10 years in progressive IT roles with at least 3 years in a managerial/leadership capacity.

•Mandatory hands-on experience with Zoho ONE (workflow automation, integration, dashboard creation).

•Proficiency in systems architecture, network security, and IT operations.

• Soft Skills:

â–ªStrong verbal and written communication skills.

â–ªAbility to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

â–ªLeadership, strategic thinking, and collaborative mindset.

•Certifications (Preferred): Zoho ONE Certification or relevant technology credentials.
