The Sr. Manager - HHP (High Horse Power) Sales will be responsible for driving business growth across high-capacity gensets (typically 500 kVA and above). Based in Mumbai, this role involves managing strategic customer relationships, developing market opportunities, leading the sales team, and achieving revenue and profitability targets in the assigned region.Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for HHP gensets and power solutions.Drive end-to-end sales cycles, including inquiry handling, technical discussions, pricing, negotiation, and order finalization.Develop strong relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, industrial clients, and government customers.Prepare and implement regional sales strategies to achieve assigned targets.Market Analysis & Strategy
Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, pricing, and customer demand to support strategic decision-making.Identify new industry segments and potential customers to expand the HHP business portfolio.Contribute to product positioning, marketing plans, and go-to-market strategies.Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong engagements with key accounts to drive repeat business.Coordinate technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits.Ensure timely resolution of customer queries, technical issues, and post-sales requirements.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and guide the regional sales team to meet targets.Collaborate with engineering, project execution, service, finance, and supply chain teams for smooth order execution.Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to the sales staff.Commercial & Technical Responsibilities
Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals.Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and pricing guidelines.Monitor receivables and ensure timely payment collections.Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of high-capacity gensets (HHP), diesel engines, alternators, and power systems.Proven experience in EPC, industrial, data center, infrastructure, and large project-based sales.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex technical-commercial discussions.Leadership Skills With Experience In Managing Sales Teams.
Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building capabilities.Qualifications
Diploma/BE Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or equivalent with 10 to 12 years experience .10-15 years of experience in HHP genset sales or related power generation industry.Strong track record of achieving sales targets in high-value capital equipment.Industry : DG/UPS/Transformer/Switchgear
