Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Level 2 Network Engineer

with hands-on expertise in

Juniper Networks

for our

Network Operations Center (NOC)

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and managing network issues, ensuring high availability and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across various locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve L2-level incidents related to Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Analyze logs, identify patterns of recurring issues, and coordinate with L3 or vendors if needed.
  • Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and backups for Juniper devices.
  • Manage network alerts, ticket queues, and service requests using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Maintain updated documentation, topology diagrams, and change logs.
  • Coordinate with service providers and internal teams during outages or planned activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA, security standards, and change management processes.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper devices (EX, SRX, MX Series).
  • Good knowledge of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Working knowledge of switching, firewall rules, and NAT policies.
  • Familiarity with Junos OS CLI for configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of VPNs, MPLS, and WAN technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Juniper certification preferred (JNCIA, JNCIS, etc.).
  • 2–4 years of experience in a NOC or network support role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.

Preferred Certifications (Any Of The Following)

  • JNCIA-Junos / JNCIS-ENT / JNCIS-SEC
  • ITIL Foundation (optional)
