Sr. Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and hands-on experience in machine manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of design fundamentals, assembly processes, and proven experience working with industrial machines we are into design fabrication, assembly and manufacturing of machine such as straightening machines, rolling machines, boling press, hydraulic press and power press.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the design and development of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Review and validate designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee assembly design and ensure part compatibility and accurate fits.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly.
• Conduct design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and related technical documentation.
• Analyze and resolve design issues during the prototype and production stages.
• Continuously improve existing designs for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of machines at customer sites when required.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience in machine manufacturing and assembly.
• Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Knowledge of GD&T, welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
• Experience designing straightening, rolling, bending , or power press machines is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead small design teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to heavy machine design and fabrication industries.
• Experience working in custom machine design and development environments.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
