About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure. This role is essential in helping to streamline our software development processes, improve system reliability, and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps services.
  • Automation: Write and maintain scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and other routine tasks.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Support the development and maintenance of IaC using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring tools and log management solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development teams to understand their requirements and provide support for integrating DevOps practices.
  • Security: Implement and enforce security best practices in the DevOps processes and infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all processes, configurations, and scripts.
  • Support: Provide tier-1/2 support for DevOps-related issues and assist in troubleshooting.
Job requirements
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of source control systems, particularly Git.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including VPNs, firewalls, and security groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
