About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud & Cybersecurity Group. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions supporting our business applications. Collaborating closely with Delivery, DB, and Product teams, you will ensure secure, scalable, and reliable Newgen Managed Cloud Solutions on Newgen product platforms. As a custodian of the Newgen Cloud Platform, you will play a critical role in our Cloud Delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Monitor and maintain cloud systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with Solutioning and Product Engineering teams for optimized cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across cloud environments.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and scalability.
• Ensure security and compliance in cloud environments adhering to best practices and regulations.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for cloud infrastructure upgrades, patches, and configurations.
• Track and monitor SLAs and ensure timely closure of customer tickets.
• Willingness to work in shifts supporting 24x7x365 operations.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Associate-level cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with networking and security protocols (OSI model, VPCs, security groups, NAC, firewalls, WAF, DNS, DHCP, FTP, HTTP/S, SMTP).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalents.

• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally if required.
• Flexibility to work in shifts or overlapping hours based on project demands.
