Job description We are looking for a talented backend heavy fullstack developer. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring they are scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly. Key Responsibilities: Own the development of scalable backend features using PHP (CodeIgniter MVC) and jQuery. Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. Write clean, maintainable, and modular code with a focus on readability and performance. Contribute to frontend development using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Participate in weekly code reviews focusing on security, maintainability, and performance. Optimize SQL queries and database performance; manage session handling across EC2 instances. Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality products. Integrate and maintain third-party APIs: payment gateways, messaging, WhatsApp, Google OAuth, and shipping providers. Support CI/CD pipeline workflows; deploy through tools like Deployer and monitor through AWS and Datalog/APM. Collaborate on plans to break the monolith into microservices and modernize the UI/UX. Maintain high code standards through thoughtful comments, end-to-end testing, and performance benchmarking. Required Skills and Qualifications: 6 - 9 years of proven experience as a PHP Developer (Core PHP or PHP frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, etc.). Strong front-end fundamentals in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery is a plus). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in front-end development with React.js. Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces with React.js. Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON, etc.). Experience working on AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, auto-scaling, load balancing). Strong understanding of security practices: XSS, CSRF, SQL injection, HTTPS enforcement. Experience integrating third-party APIs and managing legacy business logic. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and automated deployments. Ability to work in a modular codebase and support codebase refactoring. Bonus: Experience with Redis, Monolog, or transitioning monolithic apps to microservices. Show more Show less
