Job Title: Senior Accountant Company: Bansal Tea – Tea Linkers Location: Opposite Fire Brigade Office, SF Road., Siliguri, West Bengal Contact: Abhishek Sengupta, HR Manager – 9332789186 Job Summary: Bansal Tea – Tea Linkers, a reputed name in the tea trading and distribution sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our accounts team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a sharp eye for detail, and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and taxation. This role demands both strategic financial oversight and day-to-day accounting management. Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate financial operations. Maintain and monitor the company’s general ledger, journal entries, and financial statements. Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Income Tax filings. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present insights to management. Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits, and prepare necessary documentation. Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and internal controls. Manage inventory and costing systems, especially tailored to the tea industry. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and vendors as needed. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. CA Inter/Final or equivalent qualification preferred. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a trading or FMCG setup. Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Excel, or similar tools). Up-to-date knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable laws. Skills Required: Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
