Sr. Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Accountant to join our Finance team in a dynamic FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update books of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Process invoices, expense claims, and vendor payments in a timely manner.
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding dues from customers.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other monthly closing activities.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances are met and returns are filed on time.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and data.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams for accurate cost and revenue tracking.
• Analyze manufacturing overheads, raw material consumption, and inventory valuation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or ERP systems).
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
