Role Summary:

Head of Sports Academy

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academy Operations & Logistics Management

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of IIS Academies in Hisar, including training schedules, matches, travel, and equipment management.
  • Ensure all sports facilities courts, gyms, training fields, hostels, and recovery centers are maintained to IIS standards.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring compliance with IIS operational and health guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and local authorities to address any facility or infrastructure requirements promptly.

2. Administrative & Program Management

  • Manage academy schedules, budgets, documentation, and reporting processes.
  • Support athlete recruitment, talent identification, and development initiatives in collaboration with the IIS scouting and coaching teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for athletes, staff, and academy operations.

3. Facility & Resource Management

  • Supervise day-to-day functioning of all IIS Hisar academy facilities.
  • Ensure effective utilization and upkeep of sports infrastructure, equipment, and residential facilities.

4. Athlete Development & Training Support

  • Collaborate with coaches, strength & conditioning experts, and the sports science team to design and monitor training programs.
  • Track athlete progress, performance metrics, and well-being, ensuring data-driven decisions are implemented.
  • Facilitate integration of best practices in athlete care, nutrition, and performance enhancement.

5. Staff Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor coaching, support, and administrative staff to maintain a high-performance environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, accountability, and excellence across all academy operations.

Requirements:

  • Have a strong understanding of sports operations, athlete development pathways, and academy management.
  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Are proficient in MS Office and other relevant management software.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Understand the sports ecosystem and athlete development landscape in Haryana.
  • Have experience managing large-scale sports academies or training centers.
  • Hold a degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Bring prior experience in handling government or federation-linked sports programs.
