Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Payroll & Employee Data Management SME with deep expertise in SAP-based payroll systems. The role focuses on accurate employee data management, end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries and legal entities, and ensuring compliance with audit and statutory requirements. This is a subject matter expert position, requiring practical execution, troubleshooting, and process optimization capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Payroll & Employee Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in SAP and SuccessFactors, including personal information, organizational structures, benefits, and contract changes.
  • Enters new hires, changes, and exits accurately, and validate data integrity across systems.
  • Conduct regular checks to resolve discrepancies and ensure payroll and HR data accuracy.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and data summaries for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Payroll Processing & Compliance:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple countries and legal entities.
  • Prepare payroll outputs, bank files, payslips, statutory filings, and salary journals accurately and on time.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP S4HANA payroll implementation and execute parallel payrolls in production.
  • Lead payroll process migration for new countries or entities in SAP, ensuring seamless implementation and data accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, maintaining audit trails, and ensuring compliance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Coordinate with HR, finance, auditors, and vendors to ensure timely payroll inputs and accurate execution.
  • Act as the SAP payroll point of contact for payroll-related queries and process clarifications.
  • Work closely with external partners (e.g., Origin team, PwC) to ensure SLA compliance and accurate payroll delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in payroll management, with strong SAP (SAP HCM, S4HANA Payroll) expertise.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and global payroll practices.
  • Experience with multi-country payroll execution, data migration, and system implementations.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
