Sourcing Specialist

As a Sourcing Specialist in the fashion industry, your role will involve managing and optimizing the procurement of raw materials, fabrics, trims, and finished garments for the fashion brand. With at least 5 years of experience in sourcing, your strong negotiation skills and deep understanding of supply chain management will be valuable assets. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors for raw materials, fabrics, trims, and finished products. - Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and delivery timelines to ensure cost-effective procurement. - Conduct market research to source innovative and sustainable materials aligning with brand requirements. - Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and lead time. - Ensure all sourced materials and products meet quality, compliance, and ethical sourcing standards. - Collaborate with design, production, and merchandising teams to align sourcing with product development timelines. - Monitor supplier performance, assess risks, and develop contingency plans to avoid production delays. - Track market trends, new material innovations, and emerging suppliers to stay ahead of industry developments. - Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and cost analyses. - Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure smooth procurement and timely deliveries. Requirements: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 5 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the fashion industry. - Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and textile production processes. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. - Understanding of ethical sourcing and sustainability practices in fashion. - Ability to manage multiple suppliers and work under tight deadlines. - Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and sourcing tools. - Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and efficiency. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in sourcing for apparel, footwear, or accessories. - Familiarity with international sourcing and global supply chain management. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards in fashion.
