Solar Project Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Solar Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking all project activities from initiation to completion. The role ensures timely execution, smooth team communication, material follow-up, client coordination, documentation, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in preparing project schedules and execution plans.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, logistics, and site teams.

2. Material & Vendor Follow-Up

  • Track procurement status and ensure timely material delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.

3. Site Progress Monitoring

  • Follow up with site engineers and contractors for daily updates.
  • Support in resolving site-level issues and delays.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project-related documents, reports, and approvals.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and MOMs.

5. Client & Internal Communication

  • Act as a single point of contact between clients, management, and site teams.
  • Handle coordination calls, meetings, and follow-up actions.

6. Approvals & Compliance

  • Follow up for statutory approvals (Net Metering, CEIG, DISCOM, etc.).
  • Ensure safety compliance and quality documentation.

7. Billing & Closure Support

  • Assist in work completion certificates, invoicing, and handover documents.
  • Coordinate final project closeout activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred)
  • 1–5 years of experience in Solar Projects / EPC / Renewable Energy
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills
  • Good communication and reporting ability
  • Knowledge of solar project lifecycle is a plus
