Job Title: Mainframe Testing · Location: Pune(Hybrid) · Experience: 6+ yrs · Job Type : Contract to hire. · Notice Period:- Immediate joiners. Mandatory Skills: Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing mainframe applications, with deep knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and tools such as CA7, File-AID, and IBM mainframe environments. You will be responsible for designing test plans, creating test cases, executing test scripts, and logging defects to ensure high-quality delivery of mainframe-based solutions. Key Responsibilities : Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on mainframe applications. Use tools like JCL, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and File-AID for testing and validation. Execute batch jobs and verify outputs using job schedulers (e.g., CA7). Validate database records and perform backend testing using SQL queries. Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers for test planning and defect resolution. Prepare test summary reports and document test results. Participate in Agile or Waterfall-based development life cycles as required.
