The Opportunity
OpenText Operations Agent monitors a system by collecting metrics that indicate the health, performance, resource utilization and availability of essential elements of the system. With its embedded data collector, Operations Agent continuously collects performance and health data across your system and stores the collected data in the Metrics Datastore. When used in conjunction with Operations Bridge Manager (OBM), Performance Manager and Performance Dashboard, you can add the capability to monitor business applications, infrastructure (system resources) as well as application workloads running on the monitored systems.
What The Role Offers
- Developing an understanding of customer deployment environments.
- Own and drive high quality resolution of customer reported product technical issues.
- Provide high quality defect fixes and new features.
- Ensure timely release of high quality product patches.
- Contribute towards patch process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate high impact product issues and customer experiences to the development team in order to improve quality of future product releases
- Review and evaluate designs to ensure long term adaptability and sustainability. Champion processes that ensure very high quality product releases
- Encourage and contribute to innovation aligned with the business
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 2 to 5 years experience.
- Experience on software applications design tools and languages such as C++, Core Java (basics),
- Knowledge on multiple OS like windows, Linux, unix, etc.
- Good understanding of version control systems, preferably GIT.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate (both written & verbal) and share solutions with CPE and development engineers, OT Support and customers
- Designing software applications running on multiple platform types. Development and troubleshooting experience with Linux, Windows server operating systems
- Strong teamwork
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Preferred experience in enterprise product requirements such as security, high scale, multi-tenancy, high availability, supportability etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with agile development methods.
- Deep knowledge on Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns.
- Understand concepts of production application deployment scenarios and architecture.
- Previous work experience in Product Development for new feature design/development.
- Self-Motivated team player with a great attitude to win is mandatory.
- Capable to deliver into the new leading Technologies.
