Primary Title: Shopify Developer
A specialist role in the eCommerce & digital commerce agency sector focused on end-to-end Shopify storefronts and integrations for direct-to-consumer retail brands. The team delivers performant, conversion-first Shopify experiences, migrations, and custom app integrations that power national and international online stores.Location: India — On-site. We are hiring an experienced Shopify Developer to join a hands-on product delivery team working across themes, apps, integrations and performance optimisation.Role & Responsibilities

• Build, customise and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML/CSS and modern JavaScript to deliver responsive, conversion-optimised storefronts.
• Develop and integrate Shopify Apps, REST/GraphQL APIs and webhooks for payments, inventory, shipping and third-party services.
• Lead migrations and upgrades (including OS 2.0/Dawn themes and Shopify Plus flows) ensuring data integrity and SEO preservation.
• Optimise page performance, asset delivery and accessibility to improve Core Web Vitals and mobile conversion rates.
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers and QA to translate designs into production-ready templates and modular components.
• Troubleshoot live-shop issues, implement robust testing, and maintain Git-centred deployment workflows and technical documentation.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 1+ years hands-on Shopify development (themes & basic apps) with strong Liquid expertise.
• Advanced HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and modern JavaScript (ES6+); experience building responsive, cross-browser storefronts.
• Practical experience with Shopify APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), webhooks and payment/shipping integrations.
• Comfortable with Shopify CLI, theme architecture (OS 2.0/Dawn), Git workflows and deployment best practices.
• Proven ability to optimise frontend performance and implement SEO best practices for eCommerce sites.
  

Preferred

• Experience with Shopify Plus features, Hydrogen/React storefronts, or headless commerce patterns.
• Familiarity with building custom Shopify Apps (Node/React or Ruby) and server-side integration patterns.
• Exposure to analytics, A/B testing, and monitoring tools to drive iterative conversion improvements.
