About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and optimize ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or SecOps modules. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in architecture, scripting, integrations, and automation, along with the ability to align platform solutions with business goals and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development & Customization

• Design, develop, and implement customized ServiceNow solutions (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, etc.).
• Build custom applications, UI pages, and business rules using JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow best practices.
• Develop workflows, notifications, dashboards, and scheduled jobs.
• Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Write and optimize advanced server-side and client-side scripts.
• Conduct unit testing and resolve configuration or scripting issues.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Gather requirements with business analysts, project managers, and end-users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement enhancements.
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
• Provide recommendations on ServiceNow best practices as a technical SME.

Platform Management & Optimization

• Perform platform administration (user management, role assignments, access controls).
• Monitor and maintain system performance and health.
• Manage upgrades, patching, and adoption of new ServiceNow features.
• Optimize workflows for scalability, efficiency, and usability.

Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.
• Promote adherence to coding standards and platform guidelines.
• Share knowledge through documentation and training.

Project & Program Support

• Contribute to project timelines, estimation, and resource planning.
• Collaborate with PMs to track deliverables and resolve issues.
• Support end-to-end ServiceNow implementation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Mandatory.
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification – Good to have.
• 4+ years of ServiceNow development experience across core modules and custom apps.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideForm).
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
• Knowledge of Service Portal, Virtual Agent, Performance Analytics.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Must be flexible to work in both UK & US shifts.
