About the Role


6+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform development. Strong experience in REST/SOAP web services, OAuth, and external system integration. 2+ years of working experience in JavaScript, Glide API, and AngularJS (for Service Portal widgets). Hands-on experience with Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub, and Scoped Applications. Good understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, ACLs, and security best practices. Experience in developing responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap. Familiar with Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements user stories and workflows
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for ServiceNow development
  • Develop configure and customize ServiceNow modules eg Incident Management Change Management Problem Management using ServiceNow development tools GlideScript UI Builder
  • Create and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise applications using APIs REST
  • Write clean efficient maintainable and well-documented code adhering to ServiceNow best practices
  • Conduct unit testing integration testing and regression testing to ensure functionality performance and security of developed solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within ServiceNow applications leveraging debugging techniques and knowledge of ServiceNow logs
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards
  • Document technical designs configurations and code for future reference and knowledge transfer
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features updates and security patches through continued learning and attending relevant training
  • Assist with the development and implementation of ServiceNow knowledge base articles and training materials


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform ServiceNow certifications like Certified ServiceNow Administrator CSA or Certified ServiceNow Master CSM a plus
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript and GlideScript
  • Experience with UI development tools like ServiceNow UI Builder is preferred
  • Experience with API integrations REST APIs is a plus
  • Working knowledge of database concepts SQL is beneficial
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business need
