Job Description

  • Lead and manage the service department, including field service engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) for gensets.
  • Ensure timely response to customer service requests, minimizing downtime of gensets at client sites.
  • Handle escalations and act as the primary contact for major service-related issues.
  • Develop and implement service policies, SOPs, and processes to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor service KPIs (response time, resolution time, uptime, customer satisfaction) and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Ensure availability of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables for timely service delivery.
  • Train, mentor, and upskill service engineers and technicians on latest genset technologies and troubleshooting methods.
  • Liaise with OEMs/vendors for warranty claims, technical support, and product updates.
  • Support sales teams in pre-sales technical discussions, AMCs, and project handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage service budgets, cost control, and resource allocation effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in genset service management or power equipment after-sales leadership.
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, control panels, alternators, and related systems.
  • Experience managing service teams, AMC contracts, and field operations.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with focus on reliability and uptime.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
