Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven SEO Executive to lead and execute on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives that grow qualified organic traffic, rankings, and conversions across our web properties. This role involves close collaboration with Content, Performance Marketing, and Product/Engineering teams to deliver measurable outcomes that support Terratern’s mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across on-page, off-page, and technical pillars to improve rankings and organic acquisition.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research (head, long-tail, and intent-based) and competitive gap analysis to guide content strategy and landing page optimisation.
- Optimise on-page elements such as metadata, headings, internal linking, schema markup, content structure, and E-E-A-T signals.
- Perform regular technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, redirects, canonicalization, structured data, XML sitemaps) and coordinate fixes with developers.
- Build and manage a clean, high-quality backlink profile through ethical link building, digital PR, and outreach.
- Monitor and analyse SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Moz; prepare weekly/monthly reports with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with Content teams to create SEO briefs, optimise blogs and service pages, and maintain content freshness in line with SERP trends and user intent.
- Support Local SEO (Google Business Profile optimisation, NAP consistency, local citations) and International SEO (hreflang implementation, geo-targeting).
- Stay informed on search engine algorithm updates and industry trends, adjusting strategies and testing new approaches.
KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
- Growth in qualified non-brand organic sessions and leads/MQLs from organic search.
- Improvement in keyword rankings with top-3 placements for priority terms.
- Increase in CTR, dwell time, and conversion rates from organic traffic.
- Technical health improvements: reduced crawl errors, improved index coverage, and higher Core Web Vitals passing rates.
- Enhanced backlink profile authority, relevance, and reduced toxicity.
Eligibility
Must-Have
- 1–2 years of proven SEO experience with measurable results.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Proficiency in SEO tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript for diagnosing on-page/technical issues.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating briefs and optimising content.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress and an understanding of site architecture and UX principles for SEO.
- Exposure to Local SEO, International SEO, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and backlink risk assessment.
