As we grow, we’re looking for a Senior Web Designer & Developer to lead our front-end web development team. This is a strategic leadership role for a technically sound, process-driven, and team-oriented professional.

Position Summary

This role involves managing a team of WordPress developers and UI/UX designers, overseeing the end-to-end development of web projects, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, project management expertise, and a people-first leadership style.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of WordPress developers and UI/UX designers.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, and manage career development.
• Enforce best practices in code quality, documentation, and QA processes.

Project Management

• Manage full project lifecycles from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Coordinate with product managers, designers, marketers, and stakeholders.
• Track timelines, manage scope, and ensure delivery within budget.

Technical Ownership

• Review code and solve complex technical challenges.
• Lead custom WordPress development using Divi, Elementor, and custom themes/plugins.
• Oversee API integrations, WooCommerce setups, CRM integrations, and third-party tools.

Performance, SEO & Security

• Optimize websites for performance and Google Core Web Vitals.
• Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices.
• Lead security audits, updates, and proactive threat mitigation.

Process & Communication

• Establish and maintain agile development practices.
• Act as a point of escalation for technical and delivery issues.
• Provide regular status updates and maintain technical documentation.

Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 7+ years in WordPress development.
• 3+ years in a team leadership or managerial role.

Technical Skills

• Expert in WordPress, Divi, Elementor, and WooCommerce.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery/React), and PHP.
• Experience with ACF, custom post types, plugin/theme development.
• Skilled with REST APIs, Git, WP-CLI, cPanel/SSH.

Design & UX Understanding

• Ability to translate Figma, XD, or PSD designs into responsive layouts.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, usability, and cross-browser compatibility.

SEO & Security

• Strong experience optimizing for Core Web Vitals.
• Familiar with Yoast, Rank Math, schema markup, etc.
• Solid understanding of WordPress security, backups, and maintenance.

Tools & Platforms

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and sprint planning.
• Familiarity with Jira, ClickUp, Asana, or Teams Planner.
• Experience with Cloudflare, WP Rocket, Sucuri, and GitHub.
• Comfortable with CMSs like WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or HubSpot (bonus).

Portfolio Requirements

• At least 10 WordPress websites showcasing leadership and technical contributions.
• Samples of custom theme/plugin development (if applicable).
• Project documentation or case studies reflecting project/team leadership.
