Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Video Editor to join our dynamic team and lead our video production efforts. This role combines hands-on video editing expertise with team management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional video content while overseeing both our in-house editing team and external freelancers to meet our agency's ambitious production goals.


Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing

  • Edit short- and long-form videos for medical marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Transform raw footage into polished, high-quality content that aligns with brand guidelines and client specifications
  • Apply advanced editing techniques, including color correction, audio enhancement, and visual effects
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance editing efficiency and creative output
  • Utilize modern editing platforms and tools to create trending, engaging content formats
  • Ensure all video content meets the highest quality standards and marketing objectives
  • Manage video assets, organize archives, and maintain proper backup systems


Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage the in-house video editing team, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight
  • Coordinate with freelance video editors, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to project timelines
  • Train team members on new-age editing tools and AI integration workflows
  • Supervise and mentor junior editors, fostering their growth and development within the company
  • Implement and maintain efficient editing workflows to handle high-volume projects
  • Prioritize projects according to business priorities and manage multiple concurrent deadlines


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with creative directors, account managers, and clients to understand project requirements
  • Present work to stakeholders and implement feedback effectively
  • Collaborate with production teams, designers, and other creative personnel
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project timelines and deliverables


Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and related Creative Suite applications
  • Expertise in modern, new-age editing tools such as CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, and other contemporary platforms
  • Strong knowledge of AI-powered editing tools and workflows (such as AI-assisted color grading, automated transcription, smart cropping, and content generation)
  • Experience integrating AI tools for enhanced productivity, including automated editing features, AI voice generation, and intelligent content optimization
  • Strong understanding of video codecs, frame rates, resolutions, and audio formats
  • Experience with color grading, sound design, and motion graphics
  • Knowledge of multi-track audio editing and sound design principles


Modern Technology & AI Integration

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI for video editing workflows, including automated editing, smart templates, and AI-enhanced effects
  • Experience with cloud-based editing platforms and collaborative tools
  • Knowledge of trending video formats and viral content creation techniques
  • Familiarity with social media-first editing approaches and vertical video optimization
  • Understanding of AI-powered content analysis and optimization tools


Management & Leadership

  • Proven experience in team management and leadership roles
  • Ability to train and develop junior team members on both traditional and modern editing techniques
  • Experience in upskilling teams on new technologies and AI tools
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience coordinating with freelancers and external contractors


Communication & Soft Skills

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
  • Ability to interpret creative direction and translate it into compelling visuals
  • Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Adaptability to rapidly evolving editing technologies and AI advancements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in healthcare or medical marketing industry
  • Knowledge of medical compliance and regulatory considerations for healthcare content
  • Certification or training in AI-powered video editing tools and workflows
  • Experience with emerging editing platforms and experimental video technologies
  • Experience with high-resolution file transfer applications and video encoding formats
  • Understanding of current video marketing trends and social media best practices
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation software
  • Knowledge of automated content creation and AI-assisted storytelling techniques
