Senior Trims Incharge

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Trims Planning & CoordinationPlan trims requirement as per style-wise, order-wise, and size-wise BOM Coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, Production, and IE teams Ensure trims availability as per production schedule and T&A plan Anticipate shortages and plan buffer stock for critical trims 2. Trims Sourcing & ProcurementCoordinate with approved vendors for trims procurement Ensure trims are sourced as per buyer specifications, quality standards, and cost targets Follow up on PO issuance, lead time, and delivery schedules Develop alternate vendors for risk mitigation 3. Quality Control of TrimsInspect trims for: Color, size, design, finish Shrinkage, wash fastness, durability Ensure compliance with: Buyer requirements Testing standards (Nickel-free, azo-free, CPSIA, etc.) Coordinate with QA team for trims testing & approvals Reject and replace non-conforming trims 4. Trims Inventory & Store ManagementMaintain accurate trims stock records Monitor inward, outward, and balance stock Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices Control trims wastage, pilferage, and excess stock Ensure proper storage, labeling, and bin management 5. Issuance & Production SupportIssue trims to production as per: Approved sample Cutting plan Daily production requirement Ensure right trims reach the right line at the right time Support production lines during style changeovers 6. Cost Control & Consumption MonitoringTrack trims consumption vs BOM Identify excess usage and variance reasons Work on cost reduction initiatives without affecting quality Prepare trims consumption reports for management 7. Documentation & ReportingMaintain: Trims BOM GRN, Issue Slips, Rejection Reports Stock & shortage reports Prepare daily / weekly / monthly trims status reports Support buyer audits and internal audits 8. Sampling & Development SupportEnsure timely trims availability for: Development samples Fit samples Pre-production samples Maintain sample trims library Support merchandising during buyer meetings 9. Team Handling & TrainingLead and supervise trims store staff Allocate duties and ensure discipline Train team on: Trims identification Quality standards Inventory control 10. Compliance & SafetyFollow company compliance, audit, and safety standards Ensure trims handling meets buyer & statutory requirements Maintain proper housekeeping and safety norms Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of all garment trims (buttons, zippers, labels, elastics, threads, tags, packing trims) Understanding of BOM, T&A, ERP / Excel Vendor negotiation & coordination skills Leadership and problem-solving ability Cost and quality consciousness KPIs (Optional – if required)
