The Senior Tester is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves leading testing efforts, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual and automated testing, test planning, and quality assurance best practices.
Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
Perform manual and automated testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications.
Lead testing efforts in large or complex projects, ensuring that testing is thorough and aligns with business goals.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts during the software development lifecycle.
Identify, document, and track bugs using test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Conduct regression, performance, security, and integration testing as needed.
Review requirements and technical specifications for completeness and testability.
Mentor and support junior QA team members in best practices and testing strategies.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts for QA processes and tools.
Provide detailed reports on test progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead testing efforts and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality products.
