🔹 About the Role – Senior Software Developer

We are hiring a Senior Software Developer who can own backend architecture, lead critical system design decisions, and guide junior engineers through complex modules.

You will work directly with the on the design and implementation :

• PMS modules (bookings, rates, availability, payments, reports)

• CMS modules (dynamic website builder, content engine)

• AI-integrated microservices for pricing and forecasting

• Scalable, event-driven backend systems

• High-availability infrastructure for real-time operations

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for engineers who want to build products from scratch and scale them to thousands of properties globally.

🔹 Responsibilities

1. Backend Architecture & Development

• Design, build, and scale backend microservices using Node.js (Primary)

• Architect modular APIs for PMS/CMS, bookings, payments, inventory management

• Build long-lifecycle services for pricing, demand forecasting, and scheduling

• Implement database schemas for high-concurrency workflows (SQL & NoSQL)

2. AI Layer Integration

• Work with data/AI teams to integrate Python forecasting models

• Design data pipelines for demand signals, seasonality, and revenue patterns

• Develop real-time pricing APIs that hotels can rely on for revenue decisions

3. System Design & Scaling

• Lead architectural decisions for multi-service environments

• Implement caching layers (Redis), queues (RabbitMQ/SQS), and message brokers

• Ensure zero-downtime deployments and robust failover strategies

• Refactor systems from MVP → enterprise-grade reliability

4. Leadership, Collaboration & Code Quality

• Mentor interns and mid-level developers

• Review pull requests with attention to design quality and performance

• Work closely with frontend and AI teams to deliver complete features

• Own documentation, sprint planning, architectural diagrams

🔹 What You’ll Bring

Required Technical Skills

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience

• Strong expertise in Node.js (Express/NestJS)

• Excellent understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven design

• Strong command of PostgreSQL/MySQL & MongoDB

• Experience with queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS)

• Deep understanding of APIs, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and security

Preferred Experience

• Python microservices for analytics or ML integrations

• Exposure to Java/Spring Boot for future high-scale modules

• Experience building SaaS platforms or PMS/booking systems

• Strong system design fundamentals (high throughput + low latency systems)

• Knowledge of DevOps: Docker, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Experience with caching, rate limiting, and performance tuning

Bonus Skills

• Experience with large dataset processing or time-series forecasting

• Prior work in hospitality, travel-tech, fintech, or marketplace systems

• Experience optimizing distributed systems under load

• Ability to convert business requirements into reliable architecture
