Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

Sense is seeking a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer to deliver our contractor communication platform to the world’s best places to work.As a Frontend Engineer at Sense, you’ll be intimately involved with bringing features from idea to completion, and mentoring an incredibly talented group of peers.You’ll join a collaborative, fun team where everyone, including you, is active in the product defining and development process. Responsibilities

Contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of our design systemProvide product ownership and mentor a team of talented Frontend EngineersBuild and maintain crisp, consistent interfaces for our customersLead code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussionsResponsibility for several large-scale ReactJS web applicationsWork closely with our cross-functional teams consisting of designers, product managers, and QA in an agile, fast-paced environmentImplement and maintain features such as Chat interfaces and data visualisationsParticipate in code reviews and architecture discussionsParticipate in interviews and hiring as we staff up our teamDemonstrated ownership of the product and mentoring other Frontend Engineers3 to 6 years of professional Javascript development experienceExperience in creating modern web UIs with React and ReduxExperience developing websites consuming various APIs from a microservice backend systemExperience writing testable code and maintaining test infrastructureExceptional coding, debugging, and architecting skills, with an eye for maintainability, reliability, and performance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TypeScriptExperience with WebSocketsExperience with Canvas, SVG, or animationExperience in a high growth startup environment"
