Senior Social Media Consultant


This role calls for a creative strategist who can blend communication insight, real-time engagement, and analytics to drive large-scale impact.


Requirements

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Mass Communication / Journalism with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university established under the UGC Act.
  • Minimum

    10 years of post-qualification experience

    in:
  • A reputed advertising or media firm,

    or

    As a Social Media Consultant with a

    Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) / NGO

    having regional or national outreach,

    or

    In

    journalism or media communication

    roles.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Social Media Planning & Execution

  • Design and implement comprehensive, creative content and engagement strategies across

    Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), YouTube, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp

    .
  • Plan and execute event-based and theme-based digital campaigns to maximize reach and interaction.
  • Handle live interactions, trending topics, and response strategies to sustain visibility and reputation.

- Content Creation & Management

  • Conceptualize and produce original, high-impact social content — graphics, reels, videos, carousels, infographics, and live streams.
  • Oversee short-form video storytelling and digital narratives for brand positioning and audience engagement.
  • Ensure all communication is creative, consistent, and aligned with organizational tone and objectives.

- Influencer & Community Engagement

  • Identify and coordinate with influencers, creators, and media partners for collaborations.
  • Manage online communities, including

    WhatsApp groups

    and social engagement clusters, ensuring effective dialogue and responsiveness.
  • Leverage user-generated content and testimonials to amplify authenticity.

- Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Track analytics and engagement insights using

    Meta Insights, TweetDeck, Google Analytics, etc.

  • Conduct trend monitoring, sentiment analysis, and hashtag amplification.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports summarizing campaign reach, engagement, and key takeaways.

- Event Coverage & Buzz Creation

  • Drive dynamic social-media coverage during events — live updates, audience interaction, and post-event storytelling.
  • Build sustained digital buzz through teasers, countdowns, and strategic content drops.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of the

    social-media ecosystem

    and content formats.
  • Expertise in

    digital storytelling, content strategy, and campaign execution.

  • Proficiency in

    short-form video creation, community management, and live coverage.

  • Excellent

    writing, editing, and communication

    skills in English and/or Hindi.
  • Strong analytical mindset with command of

    social-media analytics tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver creative quality under tight timelines.
