Roles and Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of all site activities as per the project schedule.
- Ensure adherence to approved construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Prepare work schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
- Labour Quotations to be shared to the management for approval to avoid material stagnant at the site (Minimum 3 quotations)
- Revised project schedule to be submitted to management with explanation
- To prevent material stagnation at the site, a minimum of three labour quotations must be collected and submitted to the management for prior approval.
- Any changes to the project timeline should be documented, and a revised schedule must be submitted to the management along with a clear explanation of the reasons for the revision.
- Drawings should be collected on a weekly basis. In case of any discrepancies or inconsistencies, the matter should be escalated to the concerned authority immediately for resolution.

2. Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and guide junior engineers, supervisors, and site workers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and project managers.
- Conduct daily site meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
3. Quality Assurance & Control
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures on site.
- Ensure materials used and work executed comply with project specifications and standards.
- Conduct inspections and testing of construction activities and rectify any quality issues.
- All testing activities should be recorded on video and shared with the Sales and Marketing team for reference and promotional purposes.
4. Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track site progress and prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Reports, and Monthly MIS.
- Monitor actual work against project timelines.
- Report deviations and delays, and take corrective action.
- Liasoinng with government for Completion works, Electrical , Metro water and draining connection
5. Site Documentation
- Maintain proper site records such as site instructions, work permits, inspection logs, and checklists.
- Ensure that all statutory and safety records are maintained accurately.
6. Safety Management
- Enforce safety policies and site discipline at all levels.
- Conduct safety tool-box talks and ensure all workers wear appropriate PPE.
- Investigate site incidents and implement corrective actions.
7. Material & Resource Management
- Monitor inventory of materials and ensure timely procurement to avoid delays.
- Verify quality of materials received at the site and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Optimize use of labor and materials to reduce wastage.
8. Billing & Measurements
- Verify work done on site for subcontractor billing.
- Take accurate measurements and prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) where necessary.
- Assist the quantity surveyor and billing department in preparing contractor bills.
9. Technical Support
- Resolve technical issues at site in coordination with structural engineers or consultants.
- Interpret drawings and explain technical instructions to the team.
- Implement design changes or modifications as instructed.
· If any issue arises after handover, the Engineer must take responsibility and coordinate with the CRM and Sales teams to ensure it is resolved promptly.
Targets / KRAs – Senior Civil Site Engineer
1. Project Execution & Planning
- Ensure timely execution of all construction activities as per approved project schedule.
- Create and follow weekly & monthly work schedules, tracking milestones and reporting deviations.
2. Quality Assurance & Control
- Maintain strict adherence to structural, architectural, and MEP specifications.
- Conduct quality checks at each stage (shuttering, concreting, waterproofing, tiling, etc.).
- Coordinate with quality control team for testing (cube, steel, water, etc.).
3. Site Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities of site engineers, contractors, laborers, and supervisors.
- Maintain proper site discipline, housekeeping, and safety compliance.
- Ensure material reconciliation and avoid wastage.
4. Contractor Coordination
- Manage and supervise work of multiple contractors across civil, electrical, and plumbing domains.
- Approve contractor bills, measurement sheets, and ensure timely work completion.
5. Cost & Time Efficiency
- Monitor material and labor productivity to stay within budget.
- Optimize resource allocation to reduce idle time and increase site efficiency.
6. Drawing & Design Coordination
- Ensure execution as per the latest good-for-construction drawings (GFC).
- Liaise with architects, consultants, and structural engineers for clarifications & revisions.
7. Material Management
- Forecast and raise material indent requests on time.
- Ensure proper material handling, storage, and usage on site.
- Maintain daily material tracking and stock update sheets.
8. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure 100% adherence to site safety rules and statutory norms.
- Conduct toolbox talks, monitor PPE usage, and report any safety violations or incidents.
9. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit:
- Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Weekly Progress Reports
- Measurement books
- Site snag lists and rectification logs
- Client/consultant meeting minutes
10. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide junior engineers and supervisors.
- Take ownership of training, mentoring, and delegation for site-level coordination.
