Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for the Plastic Division, aligning with the company's overall objectives and current market trends. Responsible for the sales and marketing of various plastic resins and films.

2. Global Coordination:

Collaborate with the Toray Group across global locations, especially with teams in Japan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, and Taiwan, to align business strategies and leverage international support.

3. Market Development:

Identify and develop new markets in sectors such as home appliances, automobiles, and food packaging, both within India and internationally.

4. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and client loyalty through proactive support and service.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communication with clients.

6. Market Research and Analysis:

Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct detailed market research to uncover new client segments, market opportunities, and strategic insights.

7. Product Promotion and Sales Execution:

Effectively promote plastic resins and film products through direct sales, presentations, industry exhibitions, and trade shows. Manage contract negotiations and pricing discussions to finalize deals and close sales.

8. Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, Minutes of Meetings (MoM), and budget sheets. Offer data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

9. MIS & Order Management:

Generate customer-related MIS reports and manage follow-ups for repeat and new orders. Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions and order progress to ensure efficient order execution.

10. Logistics and Delivery Coordination:

Manage end-to-end logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of consignments in line with the proforma invoice. Work closely with logistics partners and internal departments to avoid delivery issues.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Polymers) or B.Tech in Plastics Technology
  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of proven experience in plastic sales, especially in resins and films
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials, industry trends, and market behaviors
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment

Proficient in MS Office and SAP Software

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally is mandatory
