Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior API Sales Executive with 4 years of proven success in domestic and international API sales/trading. In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales lifecycle — from handling inquiries and negotiations to closing profitable deals. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and driving the company’s growth in global markets.


Key Responsibilities

·        Manage and oversee the complete sales cycle: inquiries → negotiations → quotations → closures

·        Respond to daily inbound API leads from buyers worldwide and match them with qualified suppliers

·        Negotiate pricing, MOQs, delivery schedules, Incoterms, and other trade conditions

·        Build, maintain, and expand relationships with international buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers

·        Provide guidance and support to junior business development associates and interns

·        Conduct market research on pricing trends, competitor activity, and demand forecasts

·        Standardize templates for quotations and contracts to streamline the deal process

·        Ensure compliance with pharma documentation standards (COA, DMF, GMP, etc.)

·        Collaborate with sourcing and operations teams to keep supplier/product data up-to-date

·        Track KPIs, prepare sales reports, and improve conversion rates through data-driven strategies


Requirements

·        4 years of hands-on experience in API sales/trading (India and/or global markets)

·        Proven ability to close high-value API deals (references/proof required)

·        In-depth understanding of COA, DMF, GMP, and pharma documentation

·        Strong knowledge of pricing models, market dynamics, and vendor management in API trade

·        Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management skills

·        Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

·        Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior team members

·        Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi, Mandarin, or Spanish is a strong advantage
