Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Sales Engineer / Assistant Manager - Sales located in Ambattur. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to sales engineering, technical support, communication with clients, managing sales activities, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Manage sales operations across multiple states in South India to achieve assigned sales and profit targets. Design and implement short- and long-term regional sales strategies aligned with company goals. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, gather competitor intelligence, and evaluate growth opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and expand the customer base. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, quotation updates, project tracking reports, visit reports, and booking schedules. Recommend product or service enhancements based on customer feedback and market needs. Ensure professional and ethical execution of responsibilities in full compliance with company guidelines and policies (ROSS compliance). Continuously identify improvement opportunities and set daily/weekly/monthly/yearly action plans to meet sales objectives. Travel extensively within the assigned region to visit clients, attend meetings, and monitor market developments. Educational Qualifications Must have - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline preferred). Desirable : MBA Proven experience in sales and business development, ideally in the pneumatic valves/ Panels or Transportation industry. Experience - 4 to 8 yrs Technical & Soft skills required Demonstrated success in previous sales roles. Deep understanding of the sales cycle and ability to manage end-to-end sales processes. Excellent communication skills – oral, written, telephone, and presentation. Sound knowledge in pneumatic valves/ Panels preferably in Transportation industry. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. High proficiency in customer service and technical support. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships. Effective in stress management, conflict resolution, and negotiation. Leadership skills with the ability to influence and close deals. Energetic, professional, reliable, flexible, positive, and diligent. Work Environment Field-based role with frequent travel required across South India.
