Senior Psychologist

About the Role:
The Senior Psychologist will lead institutional and organizational wellness programs under the supervision of the Institutional Psychology and Assessment (IPA) framework. The position focuses on proactive mental health care, student wellbeing, crisis management, and capacity-building interventions across academic and workplace settings.The ideal candidate is an IPA-approved psychologist with demonstrated expertise in counselling, psychoeducation, and institutional wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Wellness Evaluation

• Conduct structured psychological screening, mental health assessments, and periodic well-being evaluations.
• Maintain assessment records in compliance with ethical and confidentiality standards.

2. Group Sessions

• Design and conduct thematic group therapy and peer-support programs addressing academic stress, anxiety, and interpersonal issues.
• Facilitate group-based interventions aligned with institutional wellbeing frameworks.

3. Individual Sessions

• Offer confidential one-on-one counselling for students, staff, and faculty.
• Develop individualized wellness plans and track progress through follow-up sessions.

4. Expert Psychology Visit

• Coordinate and host specialized consultations, visiting psychologists, and clinical supervisors.
• Document expert visits, outcomes, and integrate recommendations into the wellness program.

5. Skill Development

• Facilitate soft skill and emotional intelligence training modules.
• Design capacity-building sessions in collaboration with academic and HR teams.

6. Workshops

• Develop and conduct psychoeducational workshops on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, and resilience.
• Evaluate workshop effectiveness through participant feedback and reporting.

7. Life Skill Training

• Deliver structured life skills training modules based on WHO and NCERT guidelines.
• Emphasize adaptability, empathy, conflict resolution, and decision-making.

8. Program Follow-up

• Monitor participant progress post-intervention and maintain detailed outcome reports.
• Contribute to program evaluation metrics and wellness audit reports.

9. Emergency & Crisis Management

• Respond to crisis situations, including suicidal ideation, severe distress, or on-campus emergencies.
• Collaborate with emergency response teams, follow institutional crisis protocols, and ensure post-crisis care.

10. Faculty & Staff Training

• Design and deliver training for faculty and administrative staff on mental health sensitivity, referral mechanisms, and burnout prevention.
• Build institutional mental health literacy and support systems.

Required Qualifications:
Education:

• Master’s Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology from an RCI or IPA-recognized institution.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in institutional, academic, or clinical settings.
• Prior work in wellness programs, counselling, or psychoeducation preferred.

Certifications (Desirable):

• IPA / RCI Approval (Mandatory)
• Crisis Intervention / Life Skills / Cognitive-Behavioral Training (Preferred)
