Senior Project Manager
Emergency Care Business:
In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.
With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering the cost of healthcare, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital market segments.
Senior Project Manager
In this role, you will
lead a cross functional Team consisting of representatives from various business functions that is responsible for the definition, planning, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and delivery of projects reporting into the Global Emergency Care Program Management Office.
Your role:
- Takes End to End ownership of complex and high impact Emergency Care programs with high visibility and importance to the business
- Prepares and implements programs in multi-discipline areas (including Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Operations) in accordance with agreed goals on quality, time, cost, and staffing
- Able to solve complex problems using various root cause analysis tools, with goal of focusing team on most impactful and important deliverables
- Navigates through the complexity of programs by coordinating between the sub-projects, multiple sites, and matrix organization
- Sets project timelines, uses innovative methods to optimize efficiency, and manages risks to achieve project success
- Ensures team is staffed effectively and utilized to the fullest potential to most efficiently complete projects. Coaches team members and provides feedback to appropriate parties
- Establishes strong operating mechanisms to track progress, identify issues, overcome obstacles, and define recovery plans
- Leads all aspects of the Identification, Investigation and Corrective/Preventive Action implementation of the CAPA process at the site level
- Provides ongoing status reports to the business leadership team, highlighting opportunities and risk mitigations
- Works with Quality and Regulatory to ensure the program is fully compliant with the appropriate QMS and design controls, and global regulatory agency requirements
- Optimizes project efficiency and innovation via collaboration with other program managers within Program Management Office (PMO) and resource managers in other functions
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- 15+ years in engineering/R&D project management, preferably in medical devices domain
- 5+ years leading a multi-disciplinary team developing medical device hardware/software
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical design aspects of medical devices
- Good understanding of medical device hardware/software concepts and familiarity with standard methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership skills showing ownership and successful completion of complex projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience with project governance and a methodical approach to manage multiple parallel projects and programs
- Strong ability to work cross-culturally in a global environment with geographically dispersed project teams
- Ability to tailor information and pitch at differing levels of detail, especially presenting management information to assist with and enable decision making
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication, attention to detail and initiative
