Senior Product Manager (UAV)

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap and lifecycle for core UAS capabilities across hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features and other development tasks.
• Balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and user experience in decision-making.
• Drive alignment across firmware, electronics, mechanical, and systems teams.
• Work closely with the Ground Control Station (GCS) and platform teams to ensure seamless integrations.
• Conduct deep product discovery through field testing, customer feedback, and usage data.
• Translate complex engineering trade-offs into clear product requirements.
• Partner with leadership to shape product direction and influence technical strategy.
• Define success metrics and track the adoption, performance, and reliability of UAS components.

• An experienced technical product manager with a strong understanding of hardware-software systems.
• Hands-on in working with engineering teams, especially in electronics, firmware, or mechanical domains.
• A clear communicator, capable of simplifying complex trade-offs for decision-making.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and taking full ownership.
• Obsessed with quality, performance, and reliability, especially in field-deployed systems.
• User-focused, with a strong sense of empathy for pilots, field engineers, and platform users.
  

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in product management with exposure to embedded systems, drones, robotics, aerospace, or IoT hardware.
• Strong technical foundation (engineering degree or equivalent experience).
• Experience working closely with firmware, electronics, mechanical, or systems teams.
• Exposure to Ground Control Station software or flight control systems is a plus.
• Experience in field testing, reliability assessments, or platform optimization is highly valued.
• Bonus: Experience in startups or fast-moving product teams, especially in hardware-software products.
